Melinda Young’s production work is inspired by graphic motifs and her drawings. She makes all of her pieces by hand and revels in the individuality and idiosyncratic edge that the hand brings to bear upon the work.

Much of her production work is characterised by a graphic flatness. Her pendants are influenced by or sampled from traditional patterns and motifs. The addictive acrylic rings are inspired by a pure love of colour and shape. Designed to be worn stacked – the wearer is given the opportunity to create their own display of colour and pattern on the hand.
